Introduction to Drawing: Copying from the Flat

Beginning January 14, 2012
8 Saturdays
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Tuition $295

Class size is limited to 6

Students will be introduced to the sight-size method of drawing by precisely copying a plate from the Charles Bargue drawing course using graphite as a medium. Concepts covered include preparation and care of drawing tools, creation of a precise construct, learning to see dark and light shapes, and building the appearance of three-dimensional form. Principles covered in this introductory class are applicable to all media and provide a foundation on which to build more complex skills.
